Women, Youth and Children
In this programme, DTM works with media practitioners in general and audiovisual media in particular by enabling them to fully understand the concept of gender so that they can improve their abilities on reporting and developing media content addressing issues about women, youth and children.
As a champion of development communication, we work closely with thematic partners to uncover and share quality information on issues affecting this group. Our activities also include working with men. We ensure that the voices and issues of women and children are better represented in mainstream and alternative media.
Our areas of work include increasing women’s participation in leadership, maternal health, violence against women and girls (VAWG), education, reproductive health for women and girls, socioeconomic development, etc.
